Senator Cory Booker and The Record Breaking Filibuster on the Senate Floor

I had caught the last hour of Senator Booker's valiant stand against corruption, but if I am honest with you, I hadn't known this was happening today. Or even what this filibuster was about. I try to stay informed, hut some things just seemed to have slipped thru the cracks for me.

But, it showed me that there is another Democrat that has shown some spine in the last few months. There hasn't been much action within the democratic party; so he could have chosen to go the easy route and simply voted against the act, bill, confirmation etc. but instead, he stood on his feet and spoke for over 25 hours.

That was one hell of an endurance run as doing anything for 24 hours straight is absolutely exhausting physically and mentally. He stood there though. With thoughts of hope as he closed his speech tonight. With keeping decorum and respect to even those he disagrees with. That is the example of someone I want in my government.

We still have a long way to go. And we all know that the tangerine dildo will get his way again because of all the bootlickers (Democrat and Republican alike) seem to just crave dirty swamp leather.
